Halsnæs – first Danish Citizen App
Halsnæs Municipality in Denmark has launched a project together with Innocode, joining a growing network of more than 65 Nordic municipalities with their own direct channel to residents.

The app will give Halsnæs a direct communication channel independent of social media platforms. Content is personalised based on geography and interests, and can be updated in real time by the municipality's own editors. The app also includes a local events calendar, real-time data visualisation, and a distributed push notification tool that allows different departments to reach specific resident segments directly.
A key focus for Halsnæs is crisis and emergency communication. The app supports offline emergency content, ensuring that residents can access critical information even when connectivity is limited — a growing priority for municipalities across the Nordics.
The integration of Halsnæs's existing "Tip Halsnæs" service into the app means residents get a familiar touchpoint within a new, municipality-owned channel.
Innocode's Citizen App is developed continuously together with more than 65 municipalities across the Nordics.
